Obtaining Your Driving License A1
A driver's license is an important document that officially permits you to drive. You must sign up for driving school and pass both written and physical exams.
A1 is the earliest category of driving licence that permits you to operate a motorbike that is 125cc or 11 kW. If you are over 24, you can also get a full category A licence.
Training
The first step on your motorcycle journey is to get your driver's license A1. You'll need to complete a basic 17 hours of training before you can take your theory test and practical driving exam. You can finish the course at a driver's institute, ongoing driver training center or with private instructors.
During the training, you will be taught the rules of the road and how to operate your motorcycle safely. You can also practice riding your bike and improve your handling skills prior to taking the tests. After passing the theory test, you'll have to pass the practical A1 motorcycle test, which will be conducted by a certified test taker. The A1 motorcycle test consists of two parts: a brief test based on theory and a practical driving test. Both tests are scheduled on the same date.
The theory test is composed of 20 multiple-choice responses. Only two incorrect answers are allowed to pass. The theory test is an automated test administered by the testing center. You can prepare for your theory test by studying the Highway Code. You should also practice answering test questions prior to taking the test.
After you successfully pass the test in theory and pass the theory test, you can then take your practical A1 motorcycle test. You can prepare for the test after you have completed the theory test. This includes familiarising yourself with highway code and rehearsing riding maneuvers such as hill starts and lane changing. The test is a combination of Module 1 and Module 2.
Module 1 is a module that focuses on off road manoeuvres. You will be tested to determine whether you can execute a controlled U turn and emergency stop. You will be required to perform several controlled road maneuvers such as a figure 8 and an accelerated ride. Then you will need to demonstrate good observation skills and anticipate road dangers.
Once you have passed the driving licence test A1 you are able to move to the A2 category of driving licence. This is only possible if have been holding your A1 licence for two or more years.
Requirements for licensing
You may have to enroll in a driving school that is approved by the Ministry of Transportation to get a category A1 license in the case of a student. You'll also have to pass both the theory and the practical test. Once you've passed both the tests, you'll be able to apply for a license through your local council. You'll have to pay a fee for this service.
In the category A1 you can only use motor tricycles and mopeds with engines up to 50cc. This includes e-scooters that have been tested and mopeds that are equipped with an additional sidecar. You can also drive vehicles with a mass up to 400kg empty or 550kg if the vehicle is designed to carry items.
To obtain a driver's license a1, you need to be at minimum 16 years old and have completed the compulsory basic training (CBT). You will then have to pass both the motorcycle theory and practice tests. The theory test assesses your understanding of road rules and danger perception. The practical test involves manoeuvring a motorcycle in a figure-of-eight and a series of slow control exercises. You will also have to show your ability to ride a motorcycle with a passenger.
The current licence is laminated, and appears and feels like European licence cards. It has the bearer's picture, name (in Latin and Cyrillic scripts) as well as the date and place of issue, and a detailed list of allowed categories. It is fully compatible with Vienna Convention on Road Traffic and therefore is valid in all member states. Certain older licenses such as the credit card-style and booklet ones, are still used occasionally. However, they're becoming scarcer.
Before you can get an license, you'll need to pass the two tests for practical driving on private roads and public roads if you are a new driver. You'll also need complete skid and risk-training. You'll also need to undergo an examination for medical conditions by a physician. Then, you'll be required to submit a certificate of success from the COSEVI.
Privileges

A driver who holds this license can upgrade to a full category A licence after two years. The transition from A1 to A requires a test exam and the completion of the full driving school curriculum. However, this step is not a requirement.
The driving license a1 can be a fantastic first step for motorbike beginners. The license offers more instruction, expanded riding privileges, and a longer time of validity than the CBT. The A1 license will also allow you to pass both the theory and practical tests required for the full motorcycle licence. However, it's not a valid license for travel internationally.
To be eligible for the A1 license, a person must be at minimum 16 years old. They must have completed a fundamental instruction at an driving school, a CBT certificate, and a criminal record check. The A1 license is valid for two years and must be renewed every year.
Many countries add a form to the application for a licence that asks the driver whether or not he/she would like to donate organs in the event of an accident. The driver's license is a privilege, but like all privileges, it can be taken away. It is possible to lose your driving privileges if commit certain crimes like speeding or being convicted of an alcohol-related DUI. You can lose your driving privileges as well when you're found physically or mentally impaired.
In the United States, a DUI is punishable by a maximum of six months in jail and a $1,000 fine. The penalty for a second DUI is up to 10 years in prison and a $150,000 fine. You will also have to take alcohol-related classes for a maximum of one year.
Limitations

If you suffer from a disability that hinders your ability to operate vehicles, you may be able to drive with a license category A1 after completing certain conditions. This includes attending a lecture and passing the theory test. You must also have special equipment and shoes that allow you to drive safely. For example, you must be able to see over the dashboard and windshield of the vehicle as you drive. You must be able use the seatbelt system and operate the brakes using your feet.
You must be at least 16 years old to get a category A1 driver's license. This license allows you drive a moped on two, three or four wheels. You can also ride a motorcycle, with or without a sidecar. You can also ride motor tricycles that have engine power up to 15kW. You must however be at least 21 in order to drive a motorbike that has more than 15kW.
This type of licence is valid for up to three years. You must pass a criminal background check to get this kind of licence. You also have to show proof of financial responsibility as well as a medical certificate proving that you are fit for driving. You must also be covered by insurance for your vehicle.
The a1 license allows you to drive vehicles that weigh up to 3,500kg in mass. It also permits you to carry up to eight passengers and to tow a trailer that weighs more than 750kg. You can also drive vehicles with wheel bases of up to 8,250kg.
You can also ride motorcycles with engine sizes that go up to 125cc, and power outputs of up to 11 kW. This includes trial e-scooters. You can also ride motor tricycles with power outputs up to 15kW, but you must be at least 21 to take part in this.
